The Story Behind SpeechMart
Welcome to SpeechMart! We are an online platform dedicated to providing high-quality, skill-specific therapy materials designed for speech therapists, special educators, and parents.
But before we were a website, we were simply a solution born out of a real clinical need.
How It All Started
I have been working as a dedicated Speech Therapist for the past 12 years. Throughout my career, I noticed a frustrating gap in our field: there was a severe lack of proper, comprehensive speech therapy materials that I could confidently recommend to parents for home practice. Furthermore, I saw my colleagues, special educators, and myself spending countless hours late at night preparing custom materials from scratch just to plan our daily sessions.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I decided to tackle this problem head-on. I used that time to start developing my own specialized therapy materials. To date, I have meticulously designed over 90 unique materials, including our comprehensive 612-card therapy kits and specialized books like ArticuMate, The Autism Compass, and उच्चारण मित्र.
From My Clinic to Your Home
Initially, I created these materials strictly for my own therapy sessions. But then, something wonderful happened. Through word of mouth, my friends, colleagues, and the parents of my clients began asking for copies to purchase.
What started as a personal project quickly grew. One by one, I began selling them, and today, I am humbled to say we have sold over 4,000 materials! Until recently, I was managing every single order and inquiry through WhatsApp. As the demand grew, keeping up with replies became a struggle.
I launched this website to make things easier for you to browse and order, and to help me keep track of everything. We are still a small, slowly growing initiative, but our heart and clinical expertise remain at the center of everything we do.
